Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Tony Wong was sold in the Modern Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The price achieved of HKD 118,750.00 (€ 14,016.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 70,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tony Wong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chameleon, which sold at auction in November 2007 for HKD 463,500.00 (€ 40,518.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tony Wong wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Modern Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 14.016,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 70.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Tony Wong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Chameleon beobachtet, die im November 2007 für HKD 463.500,00 (€ 40.518,38) versteigert wurde.
