Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Étude Pour "Les Spectres Du Désert" by Toyen was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 2,375.00 (€ 2,155.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toyen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tu t'évapores dans un buisson de cris in October this year with an auction result of EUR 2,823,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Étude Pour "Les Spectres Du Désert" von Toyen kam im November 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.375,00 (€ 2.155,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Toyen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tu t'évapores dans un buisson de cris im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.823.000,00.
