This artwork by Tristram Ellis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2011. In the The Cowdray Sale: Works of Art from Cowdray Park and Dunecht House,At Cowdray Park, West Sussex auction, the work Hyde Park: The Albert Memorial and Rotten Row; Kensington Gardens: On the Long Water; The Palace and The Broad Walk sold for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,887.80) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tristram Ellis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Epping Forest, Walthamstow in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,711.09).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tristram Ellis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Epping Forest, Walthamstow im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.711,09).
