Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled, From The Schizophrenic Series by Uri Lifshitz for USD 4,688.00 (€ 3,555.29). This price was achieved in the auction Israeli & International Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Uri Lifshitz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Knight And The Dragon, which sold at auction in November 2009 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 13,338.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled, From The Schizophrenic Series von Uri Lifshitz für USD 4.688,00 (€ 3.555,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Uri Lifshitz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Knight And The Dragon beobachtet, die im November 2009 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 13.338,67) versteigert wurde.
