The work Three ôban from the series Bango wakai, showing a French couple, two Russian soldiers and two Chinese by Utagawa Yoshitora was worth EUR 2,728.00 to a buyer in December 2017. This price was achieved in the auction Indische, Südostasiatische und Japanische Kunst at Lempertz in Cologne and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 500.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Utagawa Yoshitora; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Igirisukoku (England) sold at auction in March 2003 with the realized price of USD 5,019.00 (€ 4,604.59).

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Utagawa Yoshitora; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Igirisukoku (England) im März 2003 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 5.019,00 (€ 4.604,59).
