Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Taureau by Victor Brauner was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in May 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 51,254.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Brauner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indicateur de l'espace in May last year with an auction result of USD 945,000.00 (€ 880,626.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Taureau von Victor Brauner wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 51.254,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Brauner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Indicateur de l'espace im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 945.000,00 (€ 880.626,22).
