In May 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Important Russian Art, which included the work Children Raiding Nests In The Forest by Viktor Vasnetsov. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 181,250.00 (€ 225,829.53), 51% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Viktor Vasnetsov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Bogatyr in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 1,105,250.00 (€ 1,290,266.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Important Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Children Raiding Nests In The Forest von Viktor Vasnetsov zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 181.250,00 (€ 225.829,53) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Viktor Vasnetsov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Bogatyr im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.105.250,00 (€ 1.290.266,20).
