Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Christies in New York held the auction Russian Works of Art, which included the work Portrait Of I.E. Repin by Viktor Vasnetsov. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 112,500.00 (€ 81,110.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Viktor Vasnetsov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Bogatyr in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 1,105,250.00 (€ 1,290,266.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Russian Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of I.E. Repin von Viktor Vasnetsov zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 81.110,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Viktor Vasnetsov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Bogatyr im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.105.250,00 (€ 1.290.266,20).
