Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Original finished design for the menu of the Coronation Banquet of the Emperor Nicholas II Alexandrovich and his consort Alexandra Feodorovna by Viktor Vasnetsov was sold in the RUSSIAN PICTURES auction at Christies in London in November 2005. The price achieved of GBP 36,000.00 (€ 52,888.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Viktor Vasnetsov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Bogatyr in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 1,105,250.00 (€ 1,290,266.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Original finished design for the menu of the Coronation Banquet of the Emperor Nicholas II Alexandrovich and his consort Alexandra Feodorovna von Viktor Vasnetsov wurde im November 2005 in der Auktion RUSSIAN PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 36.000,00 (€ 52.888,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Viktor Vasnetsov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Bogatyr im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.105.250,00 (€ 1.290.266,20).
