Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures, which included the work Winter messenger by Vincent Haddelsey. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 336.00 (€ 498.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vincent Haddelsey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A procession through Hyde Park, a triptych in January 2009 with an auction result of GBP 7,750.00 (€ 8,723.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Winter messenger von Vincent Haddelsey zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 336,00 (€ 498,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vincent Haddelsey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A procession through Hyde Park, a triptych im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.750,00 (€ 8.723,89).
