Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Portrait Of A Man, Bust-Length, Wearing A Red Headscarf by Vittore Ghislandi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 145,250.00 (€ 185,009.46), 21% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vittore Ghislandi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Young Man In A Green Tunic, which sold at auction in July 2011 for GBP 325,250.00 (€ 373,273.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Man, Bust-Length, Wearing A Red Headscarf von Vittore Ghislandi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 145.250,00 (€ 185.009,46) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Vittore Ghislandi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of A Young Man In A Green Tunic beobachtet, die im Juli 2011 für GBP 325.250,00 (€ 373.273,03) versteigert wurde.
