Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Festival Of 1957; Two Works From The Chapaev Series by Vladimir Kupriyanov was sold in the Changing Focus - A Collection of Russian and Eastern European Contemporary Photography auction at Sothebys in London in June 2013. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,860.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vladimir Kupriyanov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cast Me Not Away From Your Presence in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 70,100.00 (€ 88,062.99).
