The work The water carrier by William Anstey Dolland was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2007. It achieved a price of GBP 900.00 (€ 1,357.89), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by William Anstey Dolland; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Matrona Superba sold at auction in November 2019 with the realized price of GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,796.59).
