Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Hank Aaron, Montreal, Canada, 1969 by Walter Iooss Jr. was auctioned at Christies in New York in August 2020. The result of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,094.50) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Iooss Jr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dwight Clark, “The Catch”, San Francisco, CA, 1982 in August 2020 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 31,417.56).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Hank Aaron, Montreal, Canada, 1969 von Walter Iooss Jr. kam im August 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.094,50) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Iooss Jr. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dwight Clark, “The Catch”, San Francisco, CA, 1982 im August 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 31.417,56).
