The work Great Criticism Series: Swatch by Wang Guangyi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. The result of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 61,771.75) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Guangyi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mao AO in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,036,000.00 (€ 2,923,829.97).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Great Criticism Series: Swatch von Wang Guangyi kam im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 61.771,75) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Guangyi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mao AO im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.036.000,00 (€ 2.923.829,97).
