This artwork by Wang Keping achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in December 2019. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art II auction, the work Enlacement - 2008 sold for EUR 29,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Keping have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Couple - 1999-2012 in July last year with an auction result of EUR 157,440.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 95 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Keping erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art II wurde die Arbeit Enlacement - 2008 für EUR 29.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Keping auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Couple - 1999-2012 im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 157.440,00.
