Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Male); & Untitled (Female) by Wang Keping was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in March 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 350,000.00 – 550,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 38,778.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Wang Keping have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Couple - 1999-2012 in July last year with an auction result of EUR 157,440.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Male); & Untitled (Female) von Wang Keping kam im März 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 350.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 38.778,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Keping auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Couple - 1999-2012 im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 157.440,00.
