Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Redness with Snowflakes by Wang Su was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 25,600.00 (€ 3,004.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Su achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Children at Play in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 3,725,000.00 (€ 432,031.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Redness with Snowflakes von Wang Su wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 25.600,00 (€ 3.004,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Su erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Children at Play im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.725.000,00 (€ 432.031,04).
