This artwork by Wassily Kandinsky achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2014. In the Impressionist/Modern Works on Paper auction, the work Aquarell für Frau Toni Kirchhoff sold for GBP 314,500.00 (€ 392,952.70) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wassily Kandinsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bild Mit Weissen Linien (Painting With White Lines) in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 33,008,750.00 (€ 37,590,807.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wassily Kandinsky erzielte im Juni 2014 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist/Modern Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Aquarell für Frau Toni Kirchhoff für GBP 314.500,00 (€ 392.952,70) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wassily Kandinsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bild Mit Weissen Linien (Painting With White Lines) im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.008.750,00 (€ 37.590.807,66).
