The work Musician by Wei Rong was sold in the 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART auction at Christies in Hong Kong in April 2004. It achieved a price of HKD 179,250.00 (€ 11,635.37), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 49%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wei Rong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Propaganda Studio in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 2,167,500.00 (€ 189,479.17).

Die Arbeit Musician von Wei Rong wurde im April 2004 in der Auktion 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 179.250,00 (€ 11.635,37) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 49%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wei Rong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Propaganda Studio im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.167.500,00 (€ 189.479,17).
