Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 40,229.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Degouve de Nuncques - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Belgian Reve De Voyage, which sold at auction in November 2008 for GBP 109,250.00 (€ 132,091.46).
