Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Red Canoe by William Helburn. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,899.50) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by William Helburn have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2015 the work Red Canoe was auctioned for USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,917.94).

Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Red Canoe von William Helburn zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.899,50) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von William Helburn konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2015 die Arbeit Red Canoe für USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.917,94) versteigert.
