Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Christies in Paris held the auction Fashion Photographs from the Susanne von Meiss collection, which included the work Anouk Aimée, Vogue, Paris, 1961 by William Klein. The price achieved of EUR 5,040.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Klein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Smoke And Veil, Paris, 1958 (Vogue) in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 114,068.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Fashion Photographs from the Susanne von Meiss collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Anouk Aimée, Vogue, Paris, 1961 von William Klein zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.040,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Klein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Smoke And Veil, Paris, 1958 (Vogue) im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 114.068,44).
