Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work K5 by Wolfgang Tillmans. The price achieved of GBP 25,200.00 (€ 29,645.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wolfgang Tillmans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Freischwimmer #84 in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 605,000.00 (€ 688,982.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit K5 von Wolfgang Tillmans zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.200,00 (€ 29.645,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wolfgang Tillmans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Freischwimmer #84 im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 605.000,00 (€ 688.982,12).
