This artwork by Woo Kuk Won achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in October last year. In the 20th/21st Century Art Online auction, the work Jesus Suffering Fuck sold for HKD 504,000.00 (€ 64,585.46) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Woo Kuk Won - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Que Sera Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be), which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 1,890,000.00 (€ 224,383.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Woo Kuk Won erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Online wurde die Arbeit Jesus Suffering Fuck für HKD 504.000,00 (€ 64.585,46) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Woo Kuk Won mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Que Sera Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 1.890.000,00 (€ 224.383,56) versteigert wurde.
