Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Lacebark Pine in the Imperial Palace by Wu Guanzhong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2010. It achieved a price of HKD 14,100,000.00 (€ 1,393,126.73), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Guanzhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Zhou Village in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 236,000,000.00 (€ 26,588,934.53).
