In March last year Bonhams in New York held the auction The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale, which included the work Clearing after the Rain by Yang Borun. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,724.06), 28% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Yang Borun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pine Gove At The Bay in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,391.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Clearing after the Rain von Yang Borun zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.724,06) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yang Borun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pine Gove At The Bay im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.391,00).
