This artwork by Yang Borun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in May 2016. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Pine Gove At The Bay sold for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,391.00) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 35,000.00.
