Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Hsin Fon Jian Hydroelectric Plant by Yang Qiuren was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 59,750.00 (€ 6,222.54). Admittedly, works by Yang Qiuren have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Young Fellow from Li Tribe in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 596,000.00 (€ 53,314.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Hsin Fon Jian Hydroelectric Plant von Yang Qiuren im Juli 2003 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 59.750,00 (€ 6.222,54) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yang Qiuren auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Young Fellow from Li Tribe im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 596.000,00 (€ 53.314,97).
