Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art Including the Collection of David and Nayda Utterberg, which included the work Muneyuki shoots a tiger by Yashima Gakutei. The price achieved of USD 5,292.00 (€ 4,770.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yashima Gakutei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Giant black carp in waterweeds in September last year with an auction result of USD 81,900.00 (€ 83,716.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art Including the Collection of David and Nayda Utterberg durch, in der auch die Arbeit Muneyuki shoots a tiger von Yashima Gakutei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.292,00 (€ 4.770,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yashima Gakutei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Giant black carp in waterweeds im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 83.716,65).
