Auction result misses estimated price range
In September this year a collector was able to acquire the work Sono shi Ochū (Number Four, Ochū) by Yashima Gakutei for USD 1,216.00 (€ 1,148.90). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Japanese and Korean Art at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yashima Gakutei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Giant black carp in waterweeds in September last year with an auction result of USD 81,900.00 (€ 83,716.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sono shi Ochū (Number Four, Ochū) von Yashima Gakutei für USD 1.216,00 (€ 1.148,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Japanese and Korean Art bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yashima Gakutei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Giant black carp in waterweeds im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 83.716,65).
