Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Christies in Shanghai held the auction 20th/21st Century Art Sale, which included the work INFINITY NETS (GGF) by Yayoi Kusama. The price achieved of HKD 16,710,000.00 (€ 2,016,125.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 13,800,000.00 – 18,800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pumpkin in April this year with an auction result of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 30,635,869.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Christies in Shanghai die Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit INFINITY NETS (GGF) von Yayoi Kusama zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 16.710.000,00 (€ 2.016.125,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 13.800.000,00 – 18.800.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pumpkin im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.000.000,00 (€ 30.635.869,57).
