Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled(Executed In 1983) by Yayoi Kusama was auctioned at China Guardian in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 900,000.00 – 1,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 960,000.00 (€ 116,093.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pumpkin in April this year with an auction result of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 30,635,869.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled(Executed In 1983) von Yayoi Kusama kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei China Guardian zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 900.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 960.000,00 (€ 116.093,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pumpkin im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.000.000,00 (€ 30.635.869,57).
