Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Yin Jun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Crying Series: Olympic Games No. 3 sold for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 17,421.67) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yin Jun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Crying No. 3, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 35,508.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yin Jun erzielte im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Crying Series: Olympic Games No. 3 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 17.421,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yin Jun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Crying No. 3 beobachtet, die im September 2008 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 35.508,84) versteigert wurde.
