Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Christies in Shanghai held the auction 20th/21st Century Art Sale, which included the work 15.3.63. by Zao Wou-Ki. It changed hands for a price of HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 334,452.38) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 1,500,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zao Wou-Ki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 29.09.64. in May last year with an auction result of HKD 278,000,000.00 (€ 33,004,566.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Christies in Shanghai die Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit 15.3.63. von Zao Wou-Ki zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 334.452,38) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.500.000,00 – 3.000.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zao Wou-Ki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 29.09.64. im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 278.000.000,00 (€ 33.004.566,21).
