Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 8-2-72 by Zao Wou-Ki was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2010. The price achieved of HKD 15,780,000.00 (€ 1,559,116.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 12,000,000.00 – 18,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zao Wou-Ki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 29.09.64. in May last year with an auction result of HKD 278,000,000.00 (€ 33,004,566.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 8-2-72 von Zao Wou-Ki kam im November 2010 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 15.780.000,00 (€ 1.559.116,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 12.000.000,00 – 18.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zao Wou-Ki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 29.09.64. im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 278.000.000,00 (€ 33.004.566,21).
