Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zao Wou-Ki achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in October this year. In the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction, the work Voiles À La Mer(Executed In 1953) sold for HKD 102,000.00 (€ 12,334.97) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zao Wou-Ki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 29.09.64. in May last year with an auction result of HKD 278,000,000.00 (€ 33,004,566.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zao Wou-Ki erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei China Guardian einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Voiles À La Mer(Executed In 1953) für HKD 102.000,00 (€ 12.334,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zao Wou-Ki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 29.09.64. im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 278.000.000,00 (€ 33.004.566,21).
