The work Two Light Balls by Zhang Enli was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 1,386,000.00 (€ 148,393.02), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. Admittedly, works by Zhang Enli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maidens in May last year with an auction result of HKD 10,050,000.00 (€ 1,193,150.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 54 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Two Light Balls von Zhang Enli wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.386.000,00 (€ 148.393,02) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Enli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maidens im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.050.000,00 (€ 1.193.150,68).
