Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cranes on The Pine Tree by Zhang Hong was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II auction at POLY in October 2019. The price achieved of HKD 283,200.00 (€ 32,369.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 400,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Hong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Studio by a Secluded Stream, which sold at auction in April last year for HKD 604,800.00 (€ 73,124.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cranes on The Pine Tree von Zhang Hong wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II bei POLY versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 283.200,00 (€ 32.369,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Hong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Studio by a Secluded Stream beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für HKD 604.800,00 (€ 73.124,72) versteigert wurde.
