A top price for Zhang Wanqing - as previously expected
The work LONELY HILLS by Zhang Wanqing was sold in the FIRST OPEN | Shanghai auction at Christies in Shanghai in September 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CNY 60,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of CNY 72,000.00 (€ 9,020.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, LONELY HILLS is the most expensive artwork by Zhang Wanqing that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit LONELY HILLS von Zhang Wanqing wurde im September 2018 in der Auktion FIRST OPEN | Shanghai bei Christies in Shanghai versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CNY 60.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CNY 72.000,00 (€ 9.020,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist LONELY HILLS das teuerste Kunstwerk von Zhang Wanqing, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
