Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zhang Yexing could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Untitled - Bedroom changed hands for HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,974.41) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Yexing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Afternoon in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 60,674.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Yexing konnte im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Untitled - Bedroom für HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.974,41) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Yexing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Afternoon im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 60.674,61).
