Against the backdrop of the famous Venice Carnival, the Castello Gallery is presenting a special art exhibition: Whispered Realms: Hidden Spaces and Beings brings together 31 artists from 19 countries. In keeping with the magical atmosphere and extravagant masks of the carnival, the artworks on display are dedicated to the themes of trust, fear and identity. Digital art meets paintings, sculptures and photography. The exhibition opens on February 14 and runs until March 4.

Among the exhibiting artists is Christoph Pauschenwein, who is taking part in the Art.Salon artist program. In his animation Planet 114, he shows a spherical body that looks hairy and whose exact materiality cannot be grasped. The basically simple movements performed by the body are irritating; they cannot really be categorized in natural movement patterns. With his Planet series, Pauschenwein raises questions about reality and illusion and about the properties of physical and digital realities. »With these objects, I want to give the viewer the opportunity to immerse themselves in a positive other world and provide them with a basis for constructive discussions«, says the artist about his work. Pauschenwein expressly creates his works without the help of an AI, instead focusing on the craftsmanship traditionally associated with analog art. Inspired by nature, the artist explores complex structures behind the visible in both analog and digital works.Art.Salon
