Since 2023, the extraordinary art show ArtArtist has captivated audiences alongside Art Düsseldorf with its independent presentation of remarkable artistic positions. Once again this year, numerous artists from all disciplines are represented at the former Tech Center at Hansaallee 190, including Chris Wehrmann as part of the artist group »Das Bunte Bilder Kartell«. The artist, who already participated in ArtArtist last year, is showing his latest collages from the past few months as well as his first painting, which combines techniques of painting and collage. It is characteristic of both media that the original idea is sometimes significantly altered during and through the creative process. A combination of these techniques amplifies this effect and illustrates in a unique way how the image emerges in dialogue with the artist. ArtArtist takes place from April 17 to 19, daily from 3 to 10 p.m.

Also in Düsseldorf, the exhibition PaperArt Düsseldorf 2026 at Kunstraum HUNDERTNEUN, in which Chris Wehrmann is also participating, runs through April 22. The show explores the versatility of paper and its seemingly endless creative possibilities. Not only drawings and prints, but also collages and sculptural works open up paths to new worlds. Wehrmann, who lives in Kaarst near Düsseldorf, presents a selection of his digital and analog collages. In an experimental manner, he combines inspirations from diverse fields such as nature, the media, and ballet to create visual commentaries on the present.
