Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work Barong by Affandi. The price achieved of HKD 2,520,000.00 (€ 280,315.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Affandi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Borobudur And The Sun in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 9,800,000.00 (€ 1,153,256.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Barong von Affandi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.520.000,00 (€ 280.315,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Affandi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Borobudur And The Sun im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.800.000,00 (€ 1.153.256,70).
