Auction result well in line with expectations
The work I Love Color #11 by Ai Jing was auctioned at Phillips in London in October 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 99,767.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ai Jing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work I Love Color #9, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 245,000.00 (€ 228,097.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit I Love Color #11 von Ai Jing kam im Oktober 2017 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 99.767,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Ai Jing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit I Love Color #9 beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 245.000,00 (€ 228.097,94) versteigert wurde.
