Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2003 Christies in London held the auction 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART, which included the work A meandering river by Albert-Gabriel Rigolot. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,112.50 (€ 5,957.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert-Gabriel Rigolot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Villagers in the Desert in October 2005 with an auction result of USD 120,000.00 (€ 100,041.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit A meandering river von Albert-Gabriel Rigolot zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.112,50 (€ 5.957,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert-Gabriel Rigolot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Villagers in the Desert im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 120.000,00 (€ 100.041,68).
