Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Petite tête de femme (dite de Schiaparelli) by Alberto Giacometti. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 56,250.00 (€ 48,200.51). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alberto Giacometti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'homme au doigt in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 141,285,000.00 (€ 128,511,006.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Petite tête de femme (dite de Schiaparelli) von Alberto Giacometti zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 56.250,00 (€ 48.200,51) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alberto Giacometti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'homme au doigt im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 141.285.000,00 (€ 128.511.006,00).
