Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Etaples by Alistair Grant was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art auction at Christies in London in July 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,594.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Alistair Grant have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2002 the work Boulogne I was auctioned for GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,427.55).

Die Arbeit Etaples von Alistair Grant wurde im Juli 2015 in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.594,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Alistair Grant konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2002 die Arbeit Boulogne I für GBP 1.527,50 (€ 2.427,55) versteigert.
