Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Honey, I rearranged the collection to let people know contemporary collectors are interesting people too by Allen Ruppersberg was auctioned at Christies in New York in August 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,141.76). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allen Ruppersberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paper Drive (For Claire) in June 2015 with an auction result of USD 57,500.00 (€ 51,551.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Honey, I rearranged the collection to let people know contemporary collectors are interesting people too von Allen Ruppersberg im August 2020 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
