Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2004 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work Tinlithgow Palace by Andrew F. Affleck. The »bidding war« ended at USD 179.25 (€ 147.13), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrew F. Affleck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Into Harbor, which sold at auction in December 2008 for USD 625.00 (€ 449.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tinlithgow Palace von Andrew F. Affleck zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 179,25 (€ 147,13) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Andrew F. Affleck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Into Harbor beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für USD 625,00 (€ 449,03) versteigert wurde.
